Scale model kit of 1800's prairie house
This is a great, one evening project!
This style of workers cottage dominated the housing market in the 1840s to 1850s before becoming more widely adopted throughout the old west. The houses were generally one room wide with the front steps centered on the front door. By the turn of the century the style was considered old-fashioned.
The gable is the most common form of roof in many parts of the world. Two sloped planes meet at the peak to form a horizontal ridge line.
Our model features wonderful details including the traditional front and back porch, window sills, door details, and more.
Kit includes wooden parts and sandpaper. Wood glue is required to complete the model and is not included with the kit.
