With its pyramid style roof and stepped down verandah, the Queenslanders appearance is distinctive and almost iconic. This model features a beautiful diamond style veranda rail. It was ideally suited to the local conditions with french doors opening out on to a verandah that wraps around all four sides of the building. Walls are vertical VJ boards with a horizontal chair rail. Windows are all double hung sashes. A kitchen was often accommodated in the rear corner of the verandah.
